30th Anniversary Celebration

This is a special year for Prime Timers Austin – the 30th anniversary of our founding. Prime Timers Austin was founded by Woody Baldwin in1989. After founding the New York and Boston chapters, Woody and his partner, Sean moved to Austin and established our chapter with a core group of charter members. We are happy to have this opportunity to recognize Jim Davis who was one of the charter members.

In order to celebrate this milestone, the Special Events Committee has planned a memorable evening to mark the occasion. The evening will include a happy hour with delicious hors d’oeuvres, a buffet dinner and dessert. A variety of fabulous entertainment will be provided throughout the evening, including instrumentalists and vocalists along with some special guests. They will include Marilyn Monroe, who will wow us during cocktails, a classical trio who will soothe us during dinner, a classical pianist, our own Kiyoshi Tamagawa who will awe us with his virtuosity, and the smooth sounds of the vocal ensemble Take 5 to round out the evening. Our special guests will include Prime Timers Worldwide president Jack Nimmo from San Antonio who will fill us in on the PTWW convention in San Antonio in October. And who knows? We may have another special guest to round out the festivities. Also, you will want to stick around for the drawing of a slew of amazing door prizes throughout the evening.
